Time Machine
An experimental sculpture exploring how time can fold, freeze, and leave a trace.

We often see time as a line — forward, irreversible.
But what if time can be stretched, frozen, or pressed into matter?
But what if time can be stretched, frozen, or pressed into matter?
This project explores the emotional and physical expressions of time through a kinetic sculpture made of wax, aluminum, and memory.
“Time Machine” is a sculptural installation developed around the themes of decay, slowness, and resistance. Inspired by industrial buttonholer mechanisms, the object repeatedly presses into layers of softened wax, slowly creating a permanent record of movement.
The wax becomes both a medium and a memory, shaped by force and heat. Through repetitive action and sensory engagement, the work poses a question: Can time be seen, not measured?
